Just an idea which came to mind; I don't plan on doing anything with it soon because I don't have the time to become invested, so I'm keeping it now so I don't lose it later. Any feedback or questions are welcome.

Single species disperses:Group settles in mountains.Group settles around open area with water.Three groups travel further.
Mountain group separates due to lack of resources; smaller groups dig into stone in the sides of mountains.
Water group begins to hunt more often around bodies of water.Travelling groups approach oceans.

Opinion on dragon wings question.

You have probably only seen this because you watch me, meaning that you likely have an interest in and opinion on the subject of my drawings, so you should all be able to answer this:
When you think, draw or look at art of a dragon, how many wing fingers do you think is correct, and what influences that (If you know).
Most art I see has three fingers and a thumb, but that may due to the artists I pay attention to producing similar art due to similar sources/ inspirations, which will likely have similar ideas of dragon physiology.
